Welcome new drag performers!
Please review our Code of Conduct and fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) form below if you are interested in performing in a safe, accessible and inclusive space at My Lover Cindi!
Please note that this show is only open for those 18+, we are looking at creating opportunities for those under 18 soon.
Additionally, this show is in based on Kaurna Land (Adelaide, South Australia), we unfortunately cannot facilitate those who do not reside here right now.
Our definition of a "baby" performer is
-
Someone who has never done a drag performance before (but may or may not have experience in other artistic mediums related to drag, or has gone out in drag before)
Or
-
Someone who has performed (in drag) under 5 times (you may have previously even performed in this show)
Before participating in the show, you will have some time to ask questions of established performers.
You will also get advice for the two numbers you will perform (each at least 3 minutes long, can be longer).
Lip-syncing is assumed, however you are more than welcome to submit any style of performance.
Let us know if you require extra equipment!.
There are no themes and you will be paid an honorarium for your performances!
Please provide as much information as possible. We try to group people of a similar level of experience together so applications without appropriate detail will be instantly rejected.
We only have space for 4 artists within each show.
However, be aware from time to time some people may need to drop out, in which case we may be in contact with you to fill a spot, keep an eye on your inbox!
Your application will be kept on file, you will not need to reapply to be considered for upcoming editions of The Nursery.
We operate bi-monthly and try our best to prioritise those who have previously applied and have not performed with us!
