Jarvis Papillo (They/Them/He/Him) is a multidisciplinary queer neurodivergent artist living and working on Kaurna Land (Adelaide, SA). His drag persona SAY GAH explores their diversity of gender expression as a non-binary trans individual, having performed for events and festivals including Feast Festival, Adelaide Fringe, and Haus of Kong.
Through studying a number of instruments and voices, Jarvis was accustomed to performing on stage since primary school. They graduated high school as a music prefect and were awarded a scholarship to study a Diploma of Live Sound and Studio Recording at SAE Adelaide in 2018.
Shortly after completing the Diploma, Jarvis went on to work with Novatech as a sound technician, working major events such as WOMADelaide, Royal Croquet Club (Fringe), Laneway Festival, among many other shows and festivals within South Australia, nationally, and internationally.
As Executive Producer of Mega Drive Events, they create queer and neurodivergent friendly spaces for both performers and patrons to express themselves openly and authentically. They are passionate about fostering spaces for artists who do not fit in amongst the stereo-typical queer representation seen within mainstream media.
Outside of all the professional factoids, Jarvis is a father to a miniature poodle named Zelda, they enjoy cooking, dancing and watching the stars on the beach.
